Word is Life

So today I have been thinking about God's rest. I was reading Hebrews 4. I noticed in the chapter that the writer, discusses those who were not to enter God's rest because they disobeyed, and also those who heard the gospel and it did them no good, because they did not combine it with faith. So that was like a warning. If you desire to have confidence in God's love, entering into His rest, hear His word and use the faith He gives you; also, hear His word, and obey.

But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin. Romans 14:23

So then I was pondering how do I hear and obey, using my faith. The Lord spoke to me again from Hebrews 4. Since it continues saying that His word is sharp, judging our motives, and that nothing will remain hidden. I will therefore allow the truth to lead me kindly to repentance for my sins. The chapter also says that therefore we should go boldly before the throne of God to receive grace. So I believe what I have heard, that Jesus, the One Mediator between me and God, has made a way for me to receive mercy, and the grace I need. For all I need is His grace, it is sufficient for me.

Choose Life

I have been doing a fast with my brother: Fasting from negative thinking for 40 days. It has been quite awesome. The thing that impacted me the most so far is that our success comes from meditating on the Word of God and using it to speak with God and to silence the enemy. In my heart it rings true with violence that the Word of God is alive, and brings life. I once was caught up in a lifestyle of sin, harmful intoxication from all kinds of evils. So one day I say a girl at my work reading the bible, and a siren went off in my spirit. I could not deny the desire to read as well. I didn't even own a bible anymore, so I went to Borders and bought one. I read a chapter of the OT and the NT starting from the beginning each morning and night. Within 6 months my mind was beginning to change, and within a year my desires for the culture of death I was in had been scraped off of me. Then I went to church. So if you or anyone you know needs a revival in their lives, somehow get them the Word of God, it is life, and without it we die. Choose life today. Here are some scriptures from our fast below (sorry no references I was in a rush). www.biblegateway.com

14So Abraham called the name of that place The Lord Will Provide. And it is said to this day, On the mount of the Lord it will be provided.

3Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? 4He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully.(A)
32He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?

17As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be proud and arrogant and contemptuous of others, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches, but on God, Who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for [our] enjoyment.

18But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

11God replied to Solomon, Because this was in your heart and you have not asked for riches, possessions, honor, and glory, or the life of your foes, or even for long life, but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may rule and judge My people over whom I have made you king, 12Wisdom and knowledge are granted you. And I will give you riches, possessions, honor, and glory, such as none of the kings had before you, and none after you shall have their equal.

Fill With His Word

I love the Lord! because He first loved me! Ya know before time He planned our rewards! He created each extravagant detail of our inheritance and custom designed each for the individual: you and me. Those who love Jesus will never be disappointed in His hand in their lives. Lord help us to trust You to be the author of our faith, and the one who puts the finishing touches on our destiny, even when our weakness seems to have failed, Holy Spirit let us be reminded that God is good! He is all powerful, He is in control, He is searching our hearts, He is good; faithful to always be good to us as He completes us, according to His plans, His ideas, His victory!
Jesus, Lord of Glory! His goodness goes on and on and on and on and on........................ (Psalm 107)

And He said to him, Why do you ask Me about the perfectly and essentially good? There is only One Who is good [perfectly and essentially]--God. If you would enter into the Life, you must continually keep the commandments. Matthew 19:17 AMP

O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him. Psalm 34:8

She tastes and sees that her gain from work [with and for God] is good; her lamp goes not out, but it burns on continually through the night [of trouble, privation, or sorrow, warning away fear, doubt, and distrust]. Proverbs 31:18

James 1:17Every good gift and every perfect ([d]free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].

2 Corinthians 5:20So we are Christ's ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ's personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Pray to God

In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them. Nehemiah 9:15

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 1 Corinthians 1:27

"This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did" (1 John 2:6).

I wanna walk as Jesus did. He never compared himself to others, and he knew who he was in the sight of God. There came a voice from telling him how loved he was, and how he brought delight to the God of heaven and earth. We have heard this voice. This voice is written in 66 books of the bible laying out for us in black and white that the Lord so loved the world that he sent Jesus, the Son of God, to become our brother so we could be in the family of God, forever living in the kingdom of God.

"Continue your love to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart" (Ps 36:10).

Thank You God! Tell us again, on this inside, confirm in our spirits, how you love us, Father in heaven. Oh Lord we thank you for Jesus, we long, we hunger, we thirst, we need your Holy Spirit God. Keep us wanting you Lord, that we may never fall into sin. Praise be yours God forever! We worship the God who pours out His own Spirit into the souls of men! Our love and devotion belongs to you, Jesus.

How To Get Ahead

Be the head! Belong to Christ! If we belong to Jesus, who paid for us with His very own God-blood, we have access to the promises of God! The promises, found in His word, are yes, and amen; success in life through Jesus Christ!
29And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham's Seed], then you are Abraham's offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise. Galatians 3:29 (Amplified Bible)

So what exactly are the promises of God? Do they involve doing everything right, being perfect, and righteous out of our own striving? NO! But shouldn't we be perfect as our Father in Heaven is perfect? YES! That is why Jude, (the brother of Jesus, who calls himself the brother of James, the other brother of Jesus who calls himself, a bond servant of Christ) Jude says, "To HIM who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you faultless..." Only Jesus is able to present us before God as perfect, because He is the only perfect One. We must be crucified with Christ, to be risen with Him in glory. Even the prophets of old, the heroes of faith in Hebrew will not be perfected until that day when Jesus returns.

9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:9-11 (New King James Version)

Hebrews 11:40
God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.

Luke 13:32
And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

Oh Lord, help us to put away the things that lead us to believe lies about our inheritance in Christ. Holy Spirit lead us to love-sickness over Jesus. That we may hunger to experience Him, to become One with God through His Son.
21That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me. 22I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one: 23I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me. John 17:21-23 (Amplified Bible)

We must have this encounter with the God-man Jesus! Lord we ask for it! Just as Jesus died to the flesh and has risen in glory, let us die to our flesh and put on our hope of glory, Jesus. We say 'yes' to receiving the burden of longing for Jesus to return, to desiring greatly whatever it takes for His path to be prepared, for the way of the Lord to be locked in our sight. THANK YOU GOD! for making us your sons and daughter, co-heirs with Christ Jesus, our Lord and King. All glory to You God, who is the author and finisher, the perfecter of our faith. Thank You Holy Spirit God, for the gifts of faith, hope, and love. Increase in us, Jesus.

26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Galatians 3:26-27(New King James Version)
Deuteronomy 28:13
And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PROMISES, OUR FATHER GOD, HOLY IS YOUR NAME, OH GOD! PRAISES BE YOURS FOREVER! I LOVE YOUR WORD! (john 1:14)

Psalm 11

Psalm 11:5 The LORD tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

When I first started reading the Bible again, I had a trembling fear when I would read things like, 6 Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup.

God's wrath upon those who disobeyed Him, and did evil in His sight impacted me in a such a way where I became afraid. I could see the state of our world now, the evil immorality, and dis-respect for Jesus our Lord (I had come out if it). I knew that if these things were really God's ways, to punish the wicked, and turn His face away from His people in their rebellion, we all were going to be in big trouble, soon.

The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning (the chief and choice part) of Wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight and understanding. Proverbs 9:10

I asked my Pastor in Las Vegas one day after reading some of the Old Testament prophet books, "Doesn't it seem a little harsh, the sentence of God's unrelenting wrath on those who do wickedly?" I was not taking into account the Lord's mercy. She told me to go and read the New Testament gospels until I had an handle on the Love and Mercy of Jesus our Lord.

I have quite enjoyed becoming enamored with the Man Jesus. He does the craziest nicest things to those who no normal man would even touch. He has mercy for the worst sinner, and turns them into a preacher because of how great His love is. Once you taste the Love of Jesus, you crave it above all others. He is alive, and His love and mercy is deep enough to cleanse us, wide enough to ensure our destiny, long enough enjoy the weak reach of our hearts, high enough to be given all honor and glory! Jesus is our all in all, and He is God. His blood makes a way for our redemption, and has satisfied the wrath of God, on our behalf! Oh Jesus! Thank You!

So now reading Psalm 11, the Lord has pointed out to me that His mercy is His judgment. David writes that,

"4 The LORD is in His holy temple, The LORD’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men."

God sees us. He is watching for those who are seeking His Righteousness, Jesus. Those who put their trust in Jesus, the Lord will 'behold', He will look upon them, and test them. Wait! Test them? Is that the reward of the righteous? Yes!!!

5 The LORD tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

7 For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.

We want God watching out for us, if He turns His face away from us, the enemy will come in and devour us! We need the Lord to behold us. So having Jesus living in us is our success, and we are in right standing with God, righteous before God. With God's righteous, holy Spirit alive on the inside of us, we will be beautiful to God. He will look upon us, because He loves righteousness, He is righteous.

Reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may avoid the snares of death. Proverbs 14:27

Testing, according to the Word of God, is the reward for being righteous. Jesus was tempted in the desert, and tested as He lived each day of His life as a man on earth knowing the Cross was coming; yet, the Cross was the Joy! set before Him. He knew testing as a joyful thing, to be looked forward too! He had the Word of the Father that He would be the Shepherd, and bring the lost sheep into the Kingdom of God, and Jesus believed the Word of the Father! WE must stand on the Word of God.

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James 1:12  Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor's] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him.

1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
