Flowers & Paint

I was pondering the questions...What are flowers and paint, and how do they relate?  Are they one and the same?...because don't pigments come from flowers?  Actually after doing a little research I found out they basically come from dirt, clay, stones, animal waste, mollusks, insects as well as botanical materials.....at least they were first made from those sources and some were very hard to come by!  Like purple!  You know how it's the color of royalty?...Well that was considered so because the pigment had to be made from the mucus of one of several species of snails.  This made them very expensive, as well as the secrecy of their production, and so therefore they were very hard to acquire unless you had much power and wealth.

Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilatesaid to them, “Behold the Man!” Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!
Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify
Him, for I find no fault in Him.” John 19:5-6

And they clothed Him with purple; and they twisted a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and began to salute Him, “Hail, King of the Jews!” Mark 15:16-18

Our Lord and King, was clothed in purple before He died on the cross for our sins, so that we could be with the Father as He is with the Father even now.  He became a man.  Men are formed from the dirt, we are but dust.

Ecclesiastes 12:6-8

New Living Translation (NLT)

Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken. Don’t wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well. For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

God remembers this that we are but dust and he takes hold of us with His hands and forms our bodies, mind and soul, to breathe life into us that we may become a colorful creation with abundant fruit.  Not only that, but that we would be called His family, sons and daughters of Father God Almighty.  He does not leave us alone to grow up with weeds & tares in a dry wilderness! No!  He waters us with the water of His word, He gives us drink and food and prunes us to bear even more fruit.  He sees us at all times, and knows all the days of our lives.  He has given us the Helper, His Holy Spirit to remind us of the words of Life, so that we may praise our God forever because of His truth and goodness, His power and love, His gracious compassion, His perfect leadership, for in all things He is worthy to be praised forever!

Psalm 139:14-16
Amplified Bible (AMP)
I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well.  My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery]  Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.

Flowers are beautiful to see and delightful to acquire, but you cannot keep them forever; they will fade into nothing.  Heaven and earth will pass away, but the word of the Lord will never go down.  God's word will never return without accomplishing His will.  We must spread the good news that there is a God who's word we can trust forever!  We must behold, look upon and talk to our Lord, hearing His words!  So that we would take hold of our eternal abundance as we live with Jesus Christ and in Him abide.

Isaiah 40:7-9
Amplified Bible (AMP)
The grass withers, the flower fades, when the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely [all] the people are like grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever O you who bring good tidings to Zion, get up to the high mountain. O you who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength, lift it up, be not afraid; say to the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

Footnotes:
  1. Isaiah 40:8 The apostle Peter quotes this verse (I Pet. 1:24-25) and then adds, "and this Word is the good news which was preached to you"--which confirms as fact that Isaiah is here referring to the times of Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One.
1 PETER 1...
17 And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time as “foreigners in the land.” 18 For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver.19 It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. 20 God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but he has now revealed him to you in these last days.
21 Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.
22 You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart.
23 For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God
24 As the Scriptures say,
People are like grass;
their beauty is like a flower in the field.
The grass withers and the flower fades.
25 But the word of the Lord remains forever.”
And that word is the Good News that was preached to you.

I'm Not Much of a Reader

Revelation 1:3
Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near

Revelation 22:7
“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

My pastor suggested we read the book of Revelation every week.  I know that may sound easier than it is, but I wanna commit to doing it, that I may gain understanding of the fear of the Lord, and the Love of the Lord as one and the same.  Also, I want to be prepared, using this book as a guide to help me agree with God's end time plans.  All His ways are perfect and glorious and I want to familiarize myself with them, and help others become familiar with them too.

James 1:25
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

I'm not much of a reader, or at least I wasn't a few years ago.  I liked watching, but hated reading.  Then God plucked me from the fires of hell, and snatched me up into His glorious light, giving me life.  This life started from His Word, and came alive in my heart by His Spirit.  I read a little each day and became better and faster at reading.  It turned from being a burden, into being my daily bread.  I know God gives this gift to any and all who cherish the Bible, God's words of truth.  I didn't even know what I was reading for a year or two, but it still gave me life, because it was the words of God.  Now after about 4 years of reading and loving it more and more, I read the same things over and over, but each time something new is revealed to me!  I believe that Jesus has always been, that He is the word made flesh, and that He alone is God who has the words of LIFE.

Bible Gateway passage: John 6:22-72 - New King James Version

The Bread from Heaven On the following day when the people who were standing on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there

Jesus words are beautiful, powerful, holy.  They always have been, always will be, and even now they are alive!  I cling to the word of God, it is a light to my path, it lifts my head, it stirs up the power of His Holy Spirit in me to enable me to walk in truth.  I am not afraid because I have read of His plans for me and they are good.  I am not worried because I have read of His faithfulness to His promises.  The giver of Life, has given me His word, and it is good.  Praise be to Him who gives me life by His word, His Spirit, His blood!

Who

This week I have been the Aunt/Parent figure for my nephew and niece that have come to KC to go to camps here at the International House of Prayer Missions Base, and also attend the Fascinate Conference.  I am so blessed that the Lord our God has brought them here, it just confirms the truth and beauty of everything He has called me to do and experience here, because now the younger generation has been sent to hear His words of truth.
For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.  Psalm 100:5

Dropping my little ones off at their camp and letting them go into the hands of counselors has been a challenge.  It has caused me to really lean into God's faithfulness in working through men to bring about His goodness towards the weak and needy children. (weak and needy because they are just kids!)

12For He delivers the needy when he calls out, the poor also and him who has no helper.  13He will have pity on the poor and weak and needy and will save the lives of the needy.

Psalm 72:12-14 (AMP)

I felt like I just wanted to make everything perfect and safe for them, and do the hard stuff for them, but I knew I couldn't and if I did they would never grow and learn, experience for themselves how to trust in the Lord.  This parenting thing is unfamiliar to me, but I can see how someday it will reveal so much more about our Father God to my heart and soul.  God's greatness is perfect and His judgements are too.  He knows how much we need Him, and how much we need to trust Him, and He allows us to learn of His faithfulness in every situation in our lives.  God truly is good, almighty, and the wisest King of kings!

Lord Jesus, You are fairer, better, wiser than any man, yet you have humbled Yourself to be joined with men for the glory of our Father God who loves us so much!  Thank You that we are called sons of God and that we are.  Thank You for being the most trustworthy companion of all men and women.  Thank You Lord for filling us with Your Spirit who comforts us and leads us into all truth, that we may be assured of Your good plans for us, and Your always provision of all our needs.  We cry out to You, from where our help comes from!  We say "yes" we will go with You in every situation, high or low, dark and light, knowing that You will never leave us or forsake us.  I lean on You my God and my King!  If you are for us, nothing, and no one can be against us!  Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever!

5Who is this who comes up from the wilderness leaning upon her beloved?...
14[Joyfully the radiant bride turned to him, the one altogether lovely, the chief among ten thousand to her soul, and with unconcealed eagerness to begin her life of sweet companionship with him, she answered] Make haste, my beloved, and come quickly, like a gazelle or a young hart [and take me to our waiting home] upon the mountains of spices!

Caused to Approach

Psalm 65 is a beautiful psalm to read aloud, to ponder, and to praise Our Creator God from.  The Lord is beautiful in Holiness, yet HE chooses us to pour out mercy on, to forgive our sins, and bless us with daily benefits from the abundance of His fullness.  HE provides for the needs of all the earth, and satisfies us with His goodness.  By this goodness we are caused to approach Him, knowing that He hears, answers, and acts.  I give You Praise! Great are You, Lord of the Universe, who calms the seas with ease, and the turmoil of the nations is silenced by Your wisdom alone.  Jesus, You rule.

Psalm 65:4
Blessed is the man You choose, And
cause to approachYou,That he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple.

Let the cities of sin, become places of refuge. O God have mercy! Bring revelation to those addicted to the fading glory of this age, and show them eternal glory! Reveal Your everlasting beauty and strength to those in bondage, to break their chains and set them free! Shine! O Creator!  Let us hear You crying out in the streets, let us hear Your truth, and Your Spirit!  Give us the fear of the Lord, and draw us nearer to You, Father God.  Your Kingdom come! Your will be done! Your wisdom be glorified! Your presence be magnified all around us! Let us see Your glory!  God, You are good, and Your mercy endures forever!

Proverbs 1
20 Wisdom cries aloud in the street,
in the markets she raises her voice;21at the head of the noisy streets she cries out;........

23If you turn at my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;   I will make my words known to you..........

28 Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer;
they will seek me diligently but will not find me.29Because they hated knowledge
and did not choose the fear of the LORD,

30 would have none of my counsel
   and despised all my reproof,
31therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way,
and have their fill of their own devices.

O Lord God! Fill me with the knowledge of You!  Cause me to seek You daily, let me hunger and thirst for righteousness, and be only satisfied with You!  Jesus thanks and praise be to Your name! Our Savior forever!  Glory be to You the Living God!  Who once was dead, but rose again!  All blessing, honor, power, and glory are Yours forever, Lord Jesus!  You alone are worthy to be praised!

1 Corinthians 1
30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. 31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”
