Good Wine

“Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”
This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him. John 2:10-11

While I was read this passage from John 2, which tells of Jesus turning the water into wine at a wedding feast, I realized something by the Spirit's revelation in my heart.  Jesus was glad to make His first sign, first miracle, first manifestation of His glory turning water into wine.  This sign spoke to me that Jesus first wants to make us glad, give us the pleasures of His glory, and manifest His glory to us.  Wine, as we know is a pleasure drink, wine makes us drunk.  As a result of seeing this sign, that Jesus turned water into wine, the disciples BELIEVED in Him.

I was the glory of God to give pleasures and gladness, make the heart merry back then, and I know it is God's glory today! That all may come to the knowledge of God, knowing the treasures of it and the pleasures of His glory!  Jesus manifest His glory by making many hearts merry, and He is doing that even right now, so that we will believe His Word; so that we will overcome the lusts of the flesh, and only be satisfied with God's superior pleasures forevermore!

O Righteous Father! Thank You for not withholding all that You had to give, and sending Your One and only Son Jesus to show us that true merriment, real joy, authentic gladness, eternal pleasures, and much much more are our inheritance in Christ!  Thank You Jesus for showing us the Father's good will towards us, to cause us to believe by manifesting His glory through His Son; and thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit, that it is even better now that we have the third person of Holy Trinity abiding within us, allowing Jesus Christ, God Himself, to live out His Grand Plan of Conquering Love through our lives.  Enlarge our hearts to run the course of Your commandments O God!
