Has not the Lord of Heaven’s Armies promised that the wealth of nations will turn to ashes?  They work so hard, but all in vain! For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the Lord. Habakkuk 2:13-14

Why Should I Be

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:6-8 (New International Version)

They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." Acts 1:10-11 (New International Version)

I was thinking today about when our God Jesus returns.  "Splits the Sky" and comes in all His glory to rule over all, to rule here on earth.  When every eye will see Him, and when those that love Him will be like Him.  We know in part, but then we will know in full, beholding face to face, seeing clearly, understanding that we have been fully understood.

For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection [of reality as in a riddle or enigma], but then [when perfection comes] we shall see in reality and face to face! Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been fully and clearly known and understood [by God].  1 Corinthians 13:12 AMP

I was wondering why do we see so dimly now?  Why do we have to know in part?  I want to see like Peter and John saw, like Paul saw - Jesus in person.  I want to ask for more!  Then I thought of that verse.....

[Addressing her shepherd, she said] Tell me, O you whom my soul loves, where you pasture your flock, where you make it lie down at noon. For why should I [as I think of you] be as a veiled one straying beside the flocks of your companions? Song of Solomon 1:7

So I am beginning to ask Jesus, why should I be like a veiled one?  Lord, take the coal, purify my body, mind, and soul, that I may see you!  I plead Your blood!  Show me Your glory Lord! You, Jesus are my Shepherd, and I am Yours...Your desire is for me!  I desire You too!  I plead Your blood over my eyes and ears, Lord let me see as I hear Your voice.  I love You Jesus, it pleases You that I return desire for You, even as You have greatly desired me!  Blessing be upon the lover of My Soul, My Husband, My Maker!  Come Lord Jesus!

Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Psalm 100:3

am my beloved’s, And my beloved is mine. He feeds his flock among the lilies. Song of Songs 6:3

I am the Good Shepherd; and I know and recognize My own, and My own know and recognize Me--
Even as [truly as] the Father knows Me and I also know the Father--and I am giving My [very own] life and laying it down on behalf of the sheep.
John 10:14-18

Trust in God

When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:17-19

What shall we conclude then? Is there injustice upon God's part? Certainly not!  For He says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion (pity) on whom I will have compassion.  So then [God's gift] is not a question of human will and human effort, but of God's mercy. [It depends not on one's own willingness nor on his strenuous exertion as in running a race, but on God's having mercy on him.] Romans 9:14-16 AMP

So it is God who decides to show mercy.  God chooses people for His purposes.  God prepares in advance ones for glory and shows mercy on them.  Who are we, but His creation?  Who are we but men?  He has created us for His pleasure and glory, does the creation ask of it's maker, "why?"  Yet He allows us such communication in His mercy.  We come boldly as children of God to ask, "what is my destiny, Father?"

In the same way, even though God has the right to show his anger and his power, he is very patient with those on whom his anger falls, who are destined for destruction. He does this to make the riches of his glory shine even brighter on those to whom he shows mercy, who were prepared in advance for glory. And we are among those whom he selected, both from the Jews and from the Gentiles.  Romans 9:22-24 NLT

We are blessed if we can take no offense towards God.  If we trust in Him and follow His way of salvation, and His path of life, our faith is finished by His Son Jesus.  If we can accept the gift of faith in Lord God Jesus, come from heaven as a man, fully God, died on a cross here on earth, and is now risen at the right hand of authority on the throne of thrones....then love conquers all!  Fully surrendered in love for God, we accept His sacrifice and know that He loves us by praising Jesus for humbly serving unto death by our brothers.  Now we have a powerful hope in this Risen King!  HE who loves us, has all authority! OH how trustworthy is our Savior!

He also said, "This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come." Mark 4:26-29 NIV

Some things we do not know, how a seed can grow?  Some things we cannot see, the sprouting of a seed.  Yet we wait for a harvest, in confidence we rest.  Our faith is made complete by Jesus, the Author the finisher, in whom and through whom, and for whom all things were created.  Trust in God.

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" They were terrified and asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!" Mark 4:39-41
