BlizZard

In this blizzard I have really been blessed by the Lord.  He has given me an even deeper meaning of life in the IHOP Media department, and at the house of prayer in general.  I could not drive to my sound shift today, and I was bummed, and then I began to question why? what are my motives to be upset about not getting to go to the prayer room and mix audio for a 2 hour intercession set?  There have been many times when I have dreaded going to do my duties as a media messenger? Again, I asked myself why?  Why am I moved emotionally by what I do or don't do?  If it was just another job then dreading it would make sense, so I fight off shame for feeling like that.  But there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus! So what the heck?
Then I came to the conclusion that during those times my thoughts were tempted into darkness and I went there with them, instead of remaining in the Vine.  If I abide in Jesus, and His Spirit of truth leads me, then I rejoice again and again.  Death is the dark, and life is in the Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.  In Jesus I have eternal life.  Earthly pleasures are fleeting and deceiving.  Only what's done for Christ will stand the shaking and last forever.  Our maker made us for what matters: being loved by Him and loving Him.  The Lord showed me that what I do here at IHOP, not only put forth the webstream, but lifting up night and day prayer and worship to Him is building up great treasures as I appeal to His pleasures.  It pleases the Father that we come each day and do our part to minister to Him, no matter if 10,000 viewers see, or 10 people in the seats, our audience is One - the Holy One.

Thank You Jesus for reminding me why I left sunny Hawaii and Vegas to come to a blizzard and be happy about it! Thank You Jesus for enabling me to love You, and myself!  Thank You God!  Thank You for choosing me to be a priest who ministers to You in this KC house of prayer as an intercessor, a media messenger, and a lovesick worshiper!  I love You Jesus and that is why I'm here, and the best part is You loved me first!  My God You loved me and You came and gave me life, taking me out of the darkness daily, and bringing me into Your marvelous Light!  I abide in the Light, the Truth, the Way - On You I wait Lord Jesus - For You I carry on in obedience and trust - and by Your grace I am saved.  Jesus is King of my heart and His victory like His love will endure in my life forever!  All glory to Him who sits on the throne, and unto the Lamb.
