Only God

Psalm 89
5 All heaven will praise your great wonders, Lord;
myriads of angels will praise you for your faithfulness.
6 For who in all of heaven can compare with the Lord?
What mightiest angel is anything like the Lord?
7 The highest angelic powers stand in awe of God.
He is far more awesome than all who surround his throne.
 8 O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies!
Where is there anyone as mighty as you, O Lord?
      You are entirely faithful.

I find it so intriguing that in these verses the psalmist discusses the greatness, the power, the awesome might, the complete authority over all that God has, but makes mention multiple times of His great faithfulness.  God does so many wonders that even the most powerful angels cannot fathom or attempt, and they praise Him for His faithfulness!  The question: "Where is there anyone as mighty as you?" is followed by..."You are entirely faithful"
This makes my mind reel over my own questions?  What is it to be might?  What are real wonders?  If faithfulness actually one of the greatest feats of strength in all the universe?  Or maybe faithfulness is only accomplished by(or with the help of) the Lord of Heaven's Armies, that being the name of God, the name of Jesus, the Faithful witness of God the Father.  Jesus is the exact representation of Our Father.  Holy is He, I will ask and we shall see... Fascinated and intrigued by God...a fate better than boredom, better than fleeting pleasures of this world, and one that is faithful never to disappoint.  I believe we will be intrigued by God with increasing measure for all eternity...forever and ever!

I am grateful that Our Lord God is faithful, because He makes so many wonderful promises in His Word.  One promise I am  very glad about tonight is the promise in Isaiah 1:

16 Wash yourselves and be clean!
Get your sins out of my sight.
      Give up your evil ways.
 17 Learn to do good.
      Seek justice.
   Help the oppressed.
      Defend the cause of orphans.
Fight for the rights of widows.

18 “Come now, let’s settle this,”
      says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson,
I will make them as white as wool.
19 If you will only obey me,

you will have plenty to eat.
20 But if you turn away and refuse to listen,
you will be devoured by the sword of your enemies.
      I, the Lord, have spoken!”

I have sinned and I know that without the faithfulness of God, His commitment to winning my heart and affections forever, without His offering His own Son on the Cross in my place, without God so loving the world...I would be doomed to suffer eternally.  Thank You Father God for sending Jesus to be my Savior, Your grace is all I need and You have poured out mercy upon me.  Thank You God

Now I search Your truths, for they give me life!  I seek Your words for they bring light into my darkness!  I love Your judgement because You love me enough to teach me obedience, so I can love You back.  Whatever I may feel from time to time, the ups, the downs, I know I can go to Your Word God and find my Rock of Salvation, the Truth that will set me free, and bring me out of confusion and into the realm of glory and eternal hope.  I am looking for Your city that You have built God, and I will not settle!  Give me faith to keep waiting on You Lord, let no one else and nothing else intrigue me like You O Lord! There is none like You!  I will seek to find You, to know You and experience Your love each day.  You are entirely Faithful, Jesus.

The Bible tells me so,
You will never let me go,
Now by Your blood Jesus
I find all I need that pleases
Hiding Your words in my heart
Shedding light on every single part
Awaken my soul
You are in control
Looking up for Your appearing
Watching, waiting, it is nearing

Tears To Go

So we all have dreams in our hearts, maybe we call them desires, or we could call them plans.  When we live leaning on Jesus, we can be sure that good and great abundance will be our portion in this present life and we will be rewarded eternal life, for we love Him.

Luke 18:29 So He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30 who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life.”

Why then do we shed the tears day after day, dwelling in un-satisfaction and without hope.  I believe my pride has caused me to think wrongly of my Lord and His leadership.  If He has all power and proves that my love is worth dying for, than would He not cultivate and prepare my heart in the most excellent, effective way to produce pure love in return.  Can I trust that His decisions and guidance in my life is truly best? YES, I must trust.  The One who loves me and washed me with His own blood, would not betray my best interests.  He knows the plans He has for me are good, so why don't I KNOW this?!  He is perfect, Jesus my God, my King, my trustworthy faithful witness of the heart of our Father, whose love will for all eternity bring me to higher and more glorious places of pleasure in His presence.
Hosea 2:
 19 “ I will betroth you to Me forever;
Yes, I will betroth you to Me
      In righteousness and justice,
      In lovingkindness and mercy;
20 I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness,
And you shall know the LORD.

So I pray Lord, that I will take my tears to you, my fears to Your feet, my desires to Your heart's fire, my dreams to faith in the unseen, Lord I give to You my hope, I put all in Your hands...Faithful and True, I love You, I trust You...
My Beautiful Bridegroom God, let me not sleep, let me feel the blessing of mourning for Your judgments and kingdom, Your nearness, Your closeness...it is surely my good!
(Matthew 5:3-5. Matthew 9:15, Matthew 25, Psalm 119:71-73)
As I cry out, I know You hear me, God of Glory, King of the Ages, Your love that covers me is enough for all eternity.  You made the stars and You have numbered each hair on my head, so I will lie down in peace and rest on Your beautiful heart...knowing You are faithful to finish the journey of love we have set out on.  I will come to know You fully, as I am known fully by You...You see my heart and know my motives, purify my desires and give me grace to allow the refining.  Trustworthy Jesus, my Lord, release the fullness of Your Spirit, that I may arise in to glorify You.
Amen

BlizZard

In this blizzard I have really been blessed by the Lord.  He has given me an even deeper meaning of life in the IHOP Media department, and at the house of prayer in general.  I could not drive to my sound shift today, and I was bummed, and then I began to question why? what are my motives to be upset about not getting to go to the prayer room and mix audio for a 2 hour intercession set?  There have been many times when I have dreaded going to do my duties as a media messenger? Again, I asked myself why?  Why am I moved emotionally by what I do or don't do?  If it was just another job then dreading it would make sense, so I fight off shame for feeling like that.  But there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus! So what the heck?
Then I came to the conclusion that during those times my thoughts were tempted into darkness and I went there with them, instead of remaining in the Vine.  If I abide in Jesus, and His Spirit of truth leads me, then I rejoice again and again.  Death is the dark, and life is in the Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.  In Jesus I have eternal life.  Earthly pleasures are fleeting and deceiving.  Only what's done for Christ will stand the shaking and last forever.  Our maker made us for what matters: being loved by Him and loving Him.  The Lord showed me that what I do here at IHOP, not only put forth the webstream, but lifting up night and day prayer and worship to Him is building up great treasures as I appeal to His pleasures.  It pleases the Father that we come each day and do our part to minister to Him, no matter if 10,000 viewers see, or 10 people in the seats, our audience is One - the Holy One.

Thank You Jesus for reminding me why I left sunny Hawaii and Vegas to come to a blizzard and be happy about it! Thank You Jesus for enabling me to love You, and myself!  Thank You God!  Thank You for choosing me to be a priest who ministers to You in this KC house of prayer as an intercessor, a media messenger, and a lovesick worshiper!  I love You Jesus and that is why I'm here, and the best part is You loved me first!  My God You loved me and You came and gave me life, taking me out of the darkness daily, and bringing me into Your marvelous Light!  I abide in the Light, the Truth, the Way - On You I wait Lord Jesus - For You I carry on in obedience and trust - and by Your grace I am saved.  Jesus is King of my heart and His victory like His love will endure in my life forever!  All glory to Him who sits on the throne, and unto the Lamb.
